Spending Tracker
Import your bank statements to see exactly where your money goes. We automatically categorize every transaction, then show you which credit card earns the most for your actual spending patterns — not guesses.
100% private — data never leaves your browser
Your statements are processed entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. No data is uploaded to our servers, no cookies are set, and nothing is stored after you close the tab. Your financial data stays yours.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is my spending data private?
Yes. All statement processing happens locally in your browser — your financial data is never sent to our servers. You can verify this in your browser's network tab. We believe financial privacy is non-negotiable.
What statement formats are supported?
We support CSV exports from all major banks including Chase, American Express, Citi, Capital One, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Discover, and US Bank. Most banks let you download transaction history as CSV.
How does automatic categorization work?
We use merchant category codes and name patterns to sort transactions into dining, groceries, travel, gas, entertainment, and more. The categorization matches how credit card issuers define their bonus categories.
How is this different from the Rewards Calculator?
The Calculator uses estimated monthly spending you enter manually. The Spending Tracker uses your actual transaction data for precise analysis. If you know your spending well, the Calculator is faster. For data-driven accuracy, import your statements here.
Can this tell me which card to use for each category?
Yes. After categorizing your spending, we compare your breakdown against bonus rates of every card in our database. You'll see exactly which card earns the most for each category with dollar amounts.
