Citi has completed the transition from the Citi Premier to the Citi Strata Premier, bringing major earning rate improvements while keeping the $95 annual fee.

How it stacks up: The 10x on hotels through Citi Travel is eye-catching but requires using Citi's portal (similar to Chase's 10x on Sapphire Preferred through Chase Travel). At ~1¢/point, 10x = 10% back on hotels — extremely competitive.

Existing Citi Premier cardholders will be automatically upgraded. New applicants can get the refreshed card immediately.

Our verdict: At $95/year, the Strata Premier is now a top-3 mid-tier travel card alongside the Sapphire Preferred and Capital One Venture.
